Stamp duty bushfire relief ends on 20 January 2024.

Relief is available on the transfer of the purchase of:

• a home; or
• vacant land (on which a replacement home is built within 3 years from the date of purchase);

that replaces a home destroyed in a specified bushfire area.

If you are seeking relief please ensure your Conveyancer has lodged the Transfer for assessment through RevenueSA Online by 20 January 2024, along with supporting evidence.

If you have paid stamp duty on your Transfer, applications for  a refund of duty paid must be lodged by 20 January 2024.
