The registration period for the payroll tax amnesty for medical practices with contracted general practitioners will now remain open until 30 November 2023.

Medical practices that have already registered will be contacted in the next few weeks by their case manager, to request information regarding the medical practice, including:

• how the medical practice is structured.
• the number of employees the medical practice has and the total estimated monthly wages they pay.
• the number of contractor GPs engaged by the medical practice and copies of those contracts (if the same contract is used for multiple GPs a sample may be provided).
• the number of other contractors (non-GP) engaged by the medical practice and the service they provide.
