The 2026-27 land tax thresholds are now available

South Australia land tax thresholds are adjusted each year to reflect changes in property site valuesLink to definition, as determined by the Valuer-General.

The 2026-27 land tax thresholds were released in the South Australian Government Gazette on 4 June 2026 and will come into effect from 1 July 2026.

They are:

  • Threshold A: $936,000
  • Threshold B: $1,504,000
  • Threshold C: $2,188,000
  • Threshold D: $3,504,000

For land held on trust, a lower starting threshold of $25,000 applies before the standard thresholds (A–D).

There has been no change to the rates applied to these thresholds.
