Land Tax

Sample Notice

The Notice of Land Tax Assessment is divided into three sections.

The top section of the notice contains the billing (or postal) address, due date for payment and references to the notice and ownership details.

The body section of the notice lists the properties being assessed for land tax, their respective site values and the land tax payable for each. For an explanation of how land tax is calculated refer to the Guide to Legislation. Properties subject to an exemption from land tax will not appear on the Notice.

The bottom section is a tear off remittance and needs to be included with your payment if you choose to pay by post. All available payment options are listed on the reverse of the notice.

The back of the notice outlines the payment options available, where and how to make further enquiries concerning your Notice of Land Tax Assessment and other general information.
