General Access
All clients registered for payroll tax in South Australia during the current financial year, will automatically be registered to use the Payroll Tax component of RevNet to complete their annual reconciliation. Access is restricted to completing the annual reconciliation only and does not include making on-line payments or lodging of regular returns. You do not need to complete an application to have access to the Annual Reconciliation facility. To view one of the annual reconciliation demonstrations please click here.
RevNet Payment Facility Access
If you wish to have access to the functionalities available in the RevNet Payroll Tax Payment Facility, which includes the ability to lodge your regular payroll tax returns and pay your payroll tax liabilities on-line you will need authority to access using one of the payment methods we have available.
There are two methods of payment that can be set up for the RevNet payment facility - RevNet Payroll Tax Electronic Payment Authority (PRT EPA) and RevNet Payroll Tax Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
For approval to access the RevNet Payment Facility you will need to complete one of the following applications:
Application – RevNet Payroll Tax Electronic Payment Authority (PRT EPA)
This facility allows your nominated Administrator(s) or User’s to log into RevNet and enter your return for each period. You enter the amount and authorise the payment from your nominated bank account. RevenueSA does not independently access a taxpayer’s bank account.
This facility ensures that your tax is allocated to your account correctly each month thereby avoiding non-payment penalties for incorrect allocation.
Additional benefits of the RevNet PRT EPA facility are that it allows a Nil return to be lodged if there is no payroll tax liability for a particular month, ability to view historical returns, wage component splits and a year to date summary of your lodgements that can be utilised in the annual reconciliation.
If you would like to view an on-line demonstration of how easy it is to use the RevNet PRT EPA facility, please click here.
If your organisation would like to use this method, please download the application form and associated terms and conditions by clicking here.
Application – RevNet Payroll Tax Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
This facility allows your nominated Administrator(s) to log into RevNet to complete an expected payroll tax EFT return each period. This will then generate a unique EFT Payment Advice for that period containing the BSB, Account Number and Payment Reference Number. Once an EFT Payment Advice is generated you will be able to use the details to make payment via EFT with your financial institution.
The Payment Reference Number changes for each return period. You must use the correct Payment Reference Number for the return period when making your payment. If you do not use the correct number, your payment may not be applied as intended and non-payment penalties and bank fees may result. The correct Payment Reference Number for each return period is only provided to you after you submit an expected EFT return on RevNet.
If your organisation would like to use the EFT payment method please download the application form and associated terms and conditions by clicking here.
If you are a member of a group, RevNet Payroll Tax Electronic Funds Transfer access is required for each member of the group and lodgement of an expected return and corresponding payment is required for each group member as per the unique EFT Payment Advice.
